Munich is usually known for two things: Being home to Europe’s #1 football team – Bayern Munich – and of course, the world-famous Oktoberfest. However, what isn’t so commonly known is that Bavaria’s capital city is also an ideal place for… herbivores! In fact, there are a lot of amazing vegan restaurants in Munich.

Initially, you may have to learn some basic vegan phrases while in Germany such as:

    • “Ich bin veganer” (I am vegan)
    • “Ich esse kein fleisch, fisch oder eier” (I do not eat meat, fish, or eggs)
    • “Ich esse keine milchprodukte” (I do not consume dairy products)
    • “Entschuldigung, haben sie irgendwelche veganen optionen?” (Excuse me, do you have any vegan options?)

These can be pretty helpful for you as a tourist if you’re in a restaurant that isn’t exclusively vegan. However, if you’re looking for restaurants that specifically cater to your taste, then you’re going to love our list!
