Integration and use of Facebook plugins like the “Like” button

On some of our pages we use so-called plug-ins of the social network facebook.com. A plugin is a computer programme which is integrated into another software product, thus expanding its functionality. The “Like” button, which is integrated on our sites, for example, is a social plugin. Facebook.com is a service provided by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. If you access one of our websites which contains a Facebook plugin, a connection is established to the Facebook servers. The plug-in is displayed on our respective side only after a message to your browser is initiated. We hereby expressly point out that on the identification of your browser the information about which of our webpages have been visited by you is sent automatically to the Facebook servers. If you are still logged in as a member of Facebook, Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. The same applies to the use of plugin functions, e.g. by clicking the “Like” button or commenting on the live stream widget. In this case, too, this information is associated with your Facebook account. You can prevent this if you log out of Facebook prior to using our sites. Comprehensive information regarding the collection, storage and use of your data by Facebook, the relevant exercise of your rights and the protection of your privacy please see the Facebook privacy policy de-de.facebook.com/policy.php and the privacy guidelines at dede.facebook.com /privacy/explanation.php.
